Convention Philanthropic Project
NEW THIS YEAR—
Participate
in a convention philanthropic event—donate an item for the Temporary Lodging
for Children.
What
a wonderful opportunity to show the hosting convention community and surrounding
area that Kansas PTA cares! This organization was suggested by Dr. Ron Wimmer, Olathe
Superintendent.
The
mission of Temporary Lodging for Children (TLC) is to provide shelter and social
services to children and youth who are facing abuse, neglect, or family
disruption. TLC serves mainly a five county area, however, they see children
from across Kansas . They are the
only temporary lodging for children in Kansas.
We
will be collecting donations for TLC at convention.
Suggestions are listed below and additional suggestions can be found on
the TLC website www.kidstlc.org

New underwear, bras and socks for teenagers.

Wal-Mart
and Target gift certificates
·
Individually
wrapped snack items.

Boxed drinks and paper items
